Also, my office just sent out a note about this saying we should "unregister" the Microsoft picture & fax viewer. I can send you the instructions on how to do this, if interested.
Don't people have anything better to do than to create this stuff?

(I do download anti-virus on a regular basis anyway.)

(The day when someone finally writes a cross-platform virus has me quaking in my boots, because the Macs will be in a world of hurt.)
For our school-owned machines, we're actually using a 3rd-party patch developed outside Microsoft. It comes reasonably well reviewed, and this one is making the PtB very nervous...
Microsoft has issued its patch, 5 days ahead of schedule. Windows users should run Windows Update right now.
